I’m a flexible sort of person who can turn my hand to many different things, so if you need someone to fix/create/solve something for you, read on! I might be that person.
Writing
As well as my extensive blogging, I regularly write a column for The Idler magazine, and throughout my career, I’ve produced a huge body of work. I’ve written reports, instruction manuals, procedures, management systems, staff briefings, publicity material and how-to guides of all kinds. I can adapt my communications to suit all kinds of audiences. Particular passions include railways, technology, travel, belief systems, popular culture and music, but I’m a skilled researcher and passionate about getting the message across, so if you’re looking for a freelance writer, talk to me and we’ll see what we can achieve together. I once managed to extract a huge amount of money out of a very tight-fisted organisation, so don’t be afraid to dream big!

I love shooting both digital and film, and you’ll see my blog is peppered with my work. I also have a gallery at Photo4Me, where you can buy prints of my photographic endeavours. Consultancy and Freelancing
Over the years, I’ve gained a lot of knowledge on a lot of things, in particular railways, public transport and travel, and I am happy to offer my consultancy services for short- and long-term projects. I have supplied my expertise to Network Rail, Transport for London, Caledonian Sleeper, Transport for Wales, Nexus and a range of others. I have also worked as a consultant for Frazer Nash and First Class Partnerships. I’m a creative and out-of-the-box thinker happy to look at any problem you might have, and propose some creative solutions.
